Times computed with the ISNA method (fajr & isha at 15°) — the standard used by many North American mosques. Times may differ by 1–2 minutes from your local masjid; always follow your local prayer timetable.

Why a printed Ramadan calendar matters

Ramadan is the one month when a single five-minute habit — knowing exactly when to stop eating and when to start — shapes every day. Guessing suhoor times usually means finishing a little too late or leaving the table too early, and checking the phone at sunset can turn a quiet moment of breaking the fast into a screen moment. A fixed calendar for your own city removes both: the morning and evening times are already laid out for all thirty days.

This calendar covers eight cities — New York, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Boston and London — and computes each day using the ISNA method, the angle many North American mosques follow. The table gives you the imsak (suhoor end), maghrib (iftar) and isha time, beside the hijri day of Ramadan for each gregorian date. Print it once, pin it where the family walks past it, and the whole month is on one page.

Times shift by roughly a minute or two each day through February and early March, and they differ between cities because sunrise and sunset follow your longitude, latitude and time zone. That is why a city-specific calendar — rather than a generic national timetable — is the safer reference for suhoor and iftar, and why a London column and a New York column will never read the same.

How to use the calendar

Choose your city once and the whole month fills in.

Step 1

Pick your city

Use the city dropdown at the top. Every time is calculated for that city's latitude, longitude and time zone.

Step 2

Read the day you need

Each row shows the gregorian date, the hijri Ramadan day, imsak/suhoor end, iftar (maghrib) and isha.

Step 3

Finish suhoor before imsak

Aim to stop eating and drinking a few minutes before the imsak time shown, to be safe before fajr enters.

Step 4

Print the month

Tap "Print Calendar" for a clean, printer-friendly page — the dropdown, buttons and notes are hidden automatically.

What each column means

Imsak

Suhoor ends

The cut-off for eating and drinking, just before fajr (dawn). Once this time arrives, the fast has begun.

Maghrib

Iftar

Sunset, when the fast ends. Traditionally break with dates and water, then rise to pray maghrib.

Isha

Night prayer

The entry time for the isha prayer and the taraweeh prayers that follow it through Ramadan nights.

Hijri

Ramadan day

The Islamic day of the month, 1 to 30, aligned to the expected start of Ramadan 1448.

Method

ISNA calculation

Fajr and isha are computed at a 15-degree angle, the method used by the Islamic Society of North America and many mosques.

Margin

1–2 minute differences

Astronomical times can differ by a minute or two from your local masjid timetable; treat this as a close, dependable estimate.

A few gentle reminders

The start date is an expectation, not a sighting. Ramadan 1448 is expected to begin on the evening of 8 February 2027, with the first fast on 9 February, but the actual start depends on the moon sighting and may shift by a day. Confirm the first of Ramadan with your local masjid.

February has no daylight saving. The times are shown on standard time for each city, so no clock adjustment is needed during this Ramadan window.

Your masjid timetable wins. Where your local mosque prints its own calendar, follow it. Small differences in angle and method are normal, and the aim is worship — not precision down to the second.

A quiet rhythm for the month

Once the times are printed, the calendar does more than tell you when to eat — it gives the day its shape. Suhoor becomes a deliberate start rather than a rushed bite before the alarm; iftar becomes the pause the whole day leans toward; and the isha column reminds you that the night prayers belong to Ramadan as much as the fast itself.

Many families keep the printed sheet on the fridge and mark off each day as it passes. Thirty marks later, the month that once felt long has become a quiet record of showing up — and that consistency is often what people remember most about a good Ramadan.

If you would rather plan than merely react, pair the times with a short intention each evening: what the next fast is for, which verse to read, whom to feed at iftar. The calendar only supplies the clock; the meaning is yours to set.

Why the times vary from one mosque to another

If the times shown here differ slightly from your local mosque's timetable, that is normal rather than an error. Prayer times for any city depend on the calculation method — the angle used for Fajr and Isha, and whether the timing follows the Umm al-Qura or another convention — and different communities choose different standards. This calendar uses the major calculation methods you can switch between, so the page can usually be matched to the convention your community follows. Where a mosque publishes its own timetable, that timetable remains the authoritative one.

The other reason times drift is geography: a city like London spans a large area, and suhoor or iftar can shift by a few minutes from one district to another. The countdowns here use city-level averages, which is the right level for planning a month ahead. For the final few days of Ramadan, it is worth checking the nearest mosque's announcement for the exact minute.
