The Crescent Press Studio Blog

Calm, practical guides for Ramadan, zakat, prayer and the everyday tools of a Muslim household. Every article is written to be readable, grounded in calculation, and free — with a free tool that does the heavy lifting for you.

Ramadan 2027 series

Ramadan 2027 (1448 AH) is expected to begin on or around 8 February 2027 — roughly four months from now. These articles are being published ahead of the month so you can plan suhoor, iftar, zakat and goals calmly, before the busy days arrive. New posts land weekly through January.

Why this blog exists

Most Islamic tool websites are either overwhelming directories or thin pages built to sell ads. Crescent Press Studio started with a different idea: a small set of free, accurate, quiet tools — prayer times, zakat calculators, a hijri calendar, a tasbih — and now a blog that explains how to use them.

Every article on this blog follows three rules:

If you are new to the site, the best place to begin is the tools page — 30+ free tools covering prayer, zakat, Quran tracking, names and more. The 30-Day Quran Journal is the flagship product behind the whole studio, and the products page collects everything we publish.

Coming through the season

Between now and Ramadan, the blog will publish weekly: the zakat step-by-step guide, a printable Ramadan calendar, an explainer on nisab, activities for kids, how to set Ramadan goals, a guide to qaza prayers, taraweeh explained, duas for the month, and how to use a tasbih. After Eid, evergreen guides on praying, finding the qibla, zakat on gold, E-numbers, baby names, the hijri calendar, the 99 Names and Islamic inheritance will follow.
